This work ranges from Intro to Typography to Advanced Graphic Design in Chronological Order.
2.25.99 • Font Posters:

Here we had to pick a font and use it to make a poster. We had to include every letter, a description of the font, its origin, and make it all look good.

I picked the obscure font "123and..." because it was unlike all the other fonts I had seen. From that I came up with 2 posters seen at the left.

5.4.99 • Graphic Designer Book:

The final project for Intro to Typography was to pick a famous graphic designer and make a book about them. I chose Alphonse Mucha because his style resembled comic books, thus, my book turned into a comic book about him.

 

10.5.99 • Corporate Identity:

The first project for Graphic Design was a Corporate Identity project. We had to pick an already existing company and redesign their logo and from there create their letterhead, envelopes and business cards.

I chose Capital City Comics. Pictured here from left to right is the final logo, the letterhead, the business card and the envelope. We also later did a Newsletter

12.14.99 • Parti '00 "Inspire" Poster:

The final project for Graphic Design was a poster making contest. Each year there is an architect conference in Madison and graphic design students design the poster for them. At the end of the semester, each student must present their poster in front of a panel of judges in hopes that their's is picked. I didn't win, but mine was in the top 5. 5.8.00 • Total Corporate Identity:

The semester long project for Advanced Graphic Design was a total corporate identity project. Our class was broken up into groups of 4 or 5. Then we were given a product. From that we had to come up with a company, a logo, all the stationary, and finally a corporate identity manual with missionary statement, products, ads, goals...everything.

The magazine (not pictured) was mostly designed by others, but I came up with the logo, ads, and building design.
